VI SEMANA DE LA LITERATURA DE MISTERIO
El eje temático son las emociones y las distintas formas de gestionarlas.
El objetivo es resaltar el valor de la literatura en la educación de la inteligencia emocional.
El foco está puesto en la emoción del miedo y en el valor, su otra cara.
El género de terror resulta sumamente atractivo, pues permite proyectar en otros seres o situaciones nuestras inquietudes y temores más íntimos, aunque somos conscientes se que se trata se una ficción, la lectura se convierte en un laboratorio en el que es posible liberar, analizar y conjurar los miedos.
También el eje argumentativo de algunas grandes obras de la historia de la literatura universal muestran cómo encarar y vencer los temores.
Por sexto año consecutivo, nuestro centro participa en la celebración de la Semana de la Literatura de misterio y terror.
La biblioteca se ha preparado para acoger la mejor selección de libros, que despliegan toda la fantasía y suscitan una instintiva atracción por sus historias misteriosas, maravillosas e irreales.
Los alumnos han valorado, especialmente, las narraciones en las que destaca un implacable método deductivo, un hilo narrativo preciso y una idea central bien identificable, donde se demuestra que la imaginación es el medio para llegar al conocimiento de cosas que escapan al control de la razón.
Ha considerado la actividad de escritura como clave en la educación. Un curso más, el Equipo de Biblioteca y el Departamento de Plástica han organizado una divertida actividad, destinada al fomento de la lectura entre nuestro alumnado.
En un escenario terrorífico, con la recreación de un laboratorio de bruja, los alumnos de Plástica, han elaborado maravillosas carátulas de películas imprescindibles en el género de Terror.
Con todo, en el trabajo compartido a lo largo de muchos días, ha destacado la competencia en conciencia y expresión cultural. Las destrezas en la aplicación de diferentes habilidades perceptivas, comunicativas, de pensamiento, de sensibilidad y sentido estético, así como el desarrollo de la imaginación y la creatividad en la expresión de los diferentes códigos artísticos: literatura, música, cine…

One more year Entresierras High School opens its doors to the scariest and creepiest day of the year. And this is how Halloween sneaked into the classrooms this couse.
Both English and Bilingual departments worked together as a whole to get the activities done.
For about 1 month students have been working on this task during bilingual subjects (Art, IT and G&H) as well as in English subject.
The purpose of this year was to get people know Halloween festivity around the world. That’s why some countries were chosen which students searched information about (Mexico, Guatemala, Ireland, Costa Rica and Haiti). Our well know SCARY CAKE CONTEST took place this year as well with students mass appeal.
In groups, students had to cover their country from different perspectives.
Activities involved the following; a deep knowledge about the country related to this festivity (started in G&H) a digital presentation about Halloween (started in IT subject), elaboration and selection of iconic, most representative items of this festivity in the chosen country (made in Art) and finally a brief oral presentation of curioisities about how people celebrate Halloween to be said on Halloween day and a QUIZZ (made in English subject). At the same time, following with the shared topic for all projects and plans for this school year, there was a competition of DOOR DECORATION based on SCARY FILM COVER.
On the 31st October, the library, the doors, walls, corridors and main hall of Entresierras tinged gloomier because of Halloween tour around the world. The Mystery Library was the starting point for each group/class. After being enchanted by mythical literature, students got inside the tour paying attention and scoring doors to reach the stands set in the main hall with a display of iconic Halloween elements. Four students from each group/class were in charge of the country explanation. Upstairs, on the 2nd floor, the tour showed travelleres a more visual idea of Halloween around the world concluding the activity that way.
An extending understanding of different ways of approaching Halloween was the target of the celebration this year. A brief trip from the origins of Halloween found in Ireland to the most interesting interpretations of this festivity as it could be seen in Haiti or New Orleands. And what’s more, the idea of a huge world with a lot of diversity to make students be awared of the significance of other cultures beyond ours.
