THE TIME MACHINE (OBRA DE TEATRO EN INGLÉS) + SENDERISMO EN LA SIERRA DE BAZA

Bonita actividad complementaria la llevada a cabo ayer por los departamentos de Inglés y Educación Física del IES Entresierras. El alumnado de 1º, 2º y 3º ESO se desplazó a la localidad de Baza para asistir a una divertida obra de teatro en Inglés (The Time Machine) para posteriormente trasladarse al Parque Natural de la Sierra de Baza para realizar un pequeño recorrido de 5 km en el precioso entorno de Narvaez.

THE TIME MACHINE

We go back to the 1940s, to a laboratory in the United States of America. There, two scientists, Robert Oppenheimer and Enrico Fermi, are working on the atomic bomb. The world is at war and if the enemies develope the bomb before they do, the war is lost. 

But they cannot find the missing element.

Fortunately, Elda Anderson, a scientist, comes along and finds the solution. What they need is uranium 235 and the computer tells them that this element is at Stonehenge, the great stone monument in England.

The problem is that it is a long way to travel and they are in a hurry. So Elda decides that they must use the time machine, an invention of Robert’s, to arrive quickly.

Without thinking twice, Elda and Robert enter the machine and travel through time.

Thanks to the machine they return to prehistoric times, then, the court of Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte and finally they will travel to the future, in search of uranium 235. 

On their journey they will meet many characters and have lots of adventures.

Will they get the uranium, will they complete the bomb?

SENDERISMO

Con el objetivo de realizar actividad física aeróbica en un entorno natural, realizamos un pequeño sendero (Fuente de la Taza) en el Parque Natural de la Sierra de Baza, todo ello aderezado con pequeñas explicaciones sobre la formación geológica  de esta bonita sierra, muy similar a la Sierra de los Filabres (de hecho una es continuación de la otra) y sobre la fauna y flora predominantes en el entorno.

Destacar el maravilloso comportamiento del alumnado que afrontó la actividad con ganas, muy motivados y dispuestos a respetar las normas básicas del senderismo, respetando en todo momento el entorno natural.
