In the town there is a sports centre, a reading club at the library, handcraft and jobsearching workshops, cultural talks at the culture centre. The town is placed in the natural park of Sierra Mágina where you can find leisure areas like Cuadros,
and there are hiking and adventure companies. There is a museum called Paleomágina, a Medieval castle, a Renaissance church and several sightseeings, like historical fountains. Mostpeople in the town work in the vegetables preservation. In addition, the food is typical Spanish, such as migas, andrajos… There is a Facebook page of the town called “Bedmareños”
where it is offered a lot of information about the village. The main advantage of this town is the fact that it is very near
the great Reinaissance cities of Úbeda and Baeza, two UNESCO World Heritage Centres, and even it is near Jaén, the
capital of our province.

The price os the ticket from Jaén to Bedmar is 4,34 euros.
– Possibility of car-pooling with other teachers: Some teachers who live in Jaén are willing to share their cars with the
language assistants, for example, teachers from Primary School and from our school.

In addition, there is always information in the centre about some flats and houses to be hired.

– Possibility of staying with a family?

It is not usual but not impossible to stay with a family, but it is something that has not happened before.

– Possibility of sharing a flat with teachers?

There is possibility of sharing a flat with those teachers who have to stay in the town because they live very far away. Rental prices are not so high, around 250 euros.
