My Experience

My name is Sophie and I’m from the South of England. Last year I graduated with a degree in English Literature and Language. I could not have had a more wonderful time teaching here in El Cuervo. All the teachers and students have made me feel so welcome. Throughout the year, we have had a great time learning English and it has been great to see the students’ progress in their speaking skills. I hope they all keep practicing! I had a wonderful time doing team quizzes in Biology, giving presentations in English, and even learning Sevillian Dancing in Music. In Technology we had fun making models, and in Geography we learnt about other countries. I enjoyed seeing the students improve their translation skills in Physics. I had an enjoyable time going to visit the theatre in San Fernando with the students and going to see the beautiful Los Tollos lagoon. I loved learning about and experiencing the Fair, Holy Week and all the other lovely Spanish festivals. It has been a wonderful year and I will really miss teaching and living in El Cuervo. Thank you to all the students and staff for making me feel so welcome and for making it such a special year.
