thermom\u00e8tre de bulbe sec nous indique la temp\u00e9rature de l\u2019air \u00e0 chaque moment et marque toujours une valeur sup\u00e9rieure \u00e0 celle du thermom\u00e8tre du bulbe humide. La cause de ce ph\u00e9nom\u00e8ne est que l\u2019\u00e9vaporation de l\u2019eau (contenu dans le coton) est un processus endothermique: il absorbe une petite quantit\u00e9 de chaleur proc\u00e9dente du mercure, donc, la temp\u00e9rature de celui-ci descend. Plus grande est la quantit\u00e9 d\u2019eau \u00e9vapor\u00e9e, plus est aussi la quantit\u00e9 de chaleur absorb\u00e9e et par cons\u00e9quent, la descente de temp\u00e9rature.<\/div><div><p>D&#8217;autre part, comme l&#8217;intensit\u00e9 de l&#8217;\u00e9vaporation d\u00e9pend de la quantit\u00e9 d&#8217;eau contenue dans l&#8217;air, nous pouvons calculer l&#8217;humidit\u00e9 relative \u00e0 partir de la diff\u00e9rence de temp\u00e9rature entre les deux thermom\u00e8tres (en utilisant des tableaux ou des graphiques incorpor\u00e9s dans
