<\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Nuestro centro se cre\u00f3 en el curso 98-99, siendo una secci\u00f3n del I.E.S. Jos\u00e9 Cadalso de la localidad de San Roque. A partir del curso 01-02, se constituy\u00f3 como instituto independiente con Director y Equipo Directivo propio, aunque hasta el mes de mayo del a\u00f1o 2002 en el que se inaugur\u00f3 el edificio actual, sigui\u00f3 compartiendo las instalaciones con el C.E.I.P. Gloria Fuertes.<\/p>\n \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Est\u00e1 situado en la localidad de Guadiaro, barriada del municipio de San Roque. En la zona est\u00e1n situadas las grandes urbanizaciones tur\u00edsticas de la provincia de C\u00e1diz, en las que se concentra una amplia oferta de instalaciones deportivas y de ocio de alto nivel: campos de golf, de polo, n\u00e1utica… El turismo y el fuerte desarrollo inmobiliario de las \u00faltimas d\u00e9cadas han generado una amplia oferta de trabajo en los sectores de la construcci\u00f3n y servicios que dio lugar a muy bajos niveles de desempleo.<\/p>\n \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 La oferta cultural de la zona es pobre. Se limita a una biblioteca p\u00fablica con acceso a Internet, situada en Guadiaro. En las localidades vecinas, San Roque, Algeciras y Estepona, esta oferta es algo mayor pero el transporte p\u00fablico no facilita el desplazamiento de los j\u00f3venes hacia ellas. A la \u00fanica oferta cultural y educativa a la que acceden nuestros alumnos con facilidad es a la que ofrece la Delegaci\u00f3n de Cultura, la Delegaci\u00f3n de Educaci\u00f3n y el Patronato Municipal de Deportes del Ayuntamiento de San Roque (visitas, representaciones teatrales y espect\u00e1culos musicales…). La oferta deportiva es m\u00e1s variada. Pueden practicar f\u00fatbol, golf, tenis, p\u00e1del y rugby. Por otro lado, el transporte p\u00fablico de esta zona es muy deficitario. La frecuencia de los servicios y las l\u00edneas existentes, aunque han mejorado en los \u00faltimos a\u00f1os, a\u00fan son escasas. Esta incomunicaci\u00f3n supone un grave inconveniente para los futuros estudios de nuestros alumnos.<\/p>\n \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Nuestro centro es receptor de alumnado procedente de los siguientes n\u00facleos de poblaci\u00f3n: Torreguadiaro, Guadiaro, Pueblo Nuevo de Guadiaro, San Enrique, Sotogrande y Alcaidesa. El n\u00famero de alumnos y alumnas matriculados cada a\u00f1o suele andar alrecedor de los 350, con una leve tendencia creciente en los \u00faltimos a\u00f1os. \u00c9stos se distribuyen en tres grupos de primero, tres de segundo, tres de tercero y tres de cuarto. Adem\u00e1s, cabe mencionar que el alumnado extranjero sigue suponiendo un porcentaje elevado.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 El Instituto Sierra Almenara contin\u00faa evolucionando para enfrentar los desaf\u00edos de su comunidad. Con el compromiso de ofrecer una educaci\u00f3n de calidad, busca constantemente nuevas formas de enriquecer la experiencia de aprendizaje y preparar a los estudiantes para un futuro lleno de
