Hello again!
In the recent unit of , we work about food and nutrition, the types of food, good habits and health, etc. And I decided to use one lesson for doing 3 different activities like working stations. In class we have 6 groups, so I prepared 3 games and every 8-10 minutes they pass from one to another. I show you similar games to the ones I used:
- Food dobble game: maybe you know this famous card game, where you have to look for similar pictures in different cards, and you can play at least in five different ways. On the internet you can find many documents with this game already prepared. You only have to print in colour and laminate the cards. I choose one with only pictures and another with words and pictures. I saw them in the Teachers pay teachers store, in the ISL collective web, etc, like this one.
- Memory game: you can play it on the interactive whiteboard or you can play it like a board game. I use mine from Abcdeele.com, that you can find it here. Also I printed it in colour and laminate it. If you need quickly one, you can find several types with different food clicking here:
- comprehensive video: I often use the channel Happy learning to show them in class, the children like these videos very much, and they use an accesible language for them. After watching it, the students have to decided some questions to ask to the class later. In this case, I use this video:
