ANNA AND THE SCHOOL

Hello! My name is Anna and I am Italian. I am nineteen years old and I am a student. This is my friend Tom. He is English and he is twenty years old. We are in the same English class at school. It is nine o’clock in the morning and the lesson is starting now. Our classroom is small, but it is nice. We have got new chairs and tables. These chairs are blue and comfortable. Those tables near the window are white.

Tom and I have got many books. These are my English books, and those are his notebooks on the shelf. I have got one sister. She is fifteen and she is Italian too. That is her green bag next to the door. Tom has got two brothers. They are American, and they are very friendly. His parents are at home now because it is early.

Our teacher today is new. She is Spanish and her name is Maria. She is very kind and she has got a big smile. This is her first day in our class. We are happy because we have got a good group of students. These students near the door are our classmates. They are French and German. Those boys at the back of the room are Brazilian.

It is quarter past nine now, and we are ready to start our lesson. We are excited because we like learning languages.
