empaquetamiento que tienen las part\u00edculas contenidas en un volumen determinado del material. En otras palabras, un material muy denso tendr\u00e1 mayor compactaci\u00f3n entre sus part\u00edculas, es decir, habr\u00e1 menos espacio entre sus part\u00edculas en comparaci\u00f3n con otro de menor densidad.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">As\u00ed pues, la densidad (d) de un material se define como el cociente entre la masa (m) del material y el volumen (V) ocupado:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><strong>d= m\/ V.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Sus unidades en el S.I. son kg\/m<sup>3<\/sup>, pero se utilizan otras como kg\/L, g\/mL, g\/cm<sup>3<\/sup>, etc.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Un material es m\u00e1s denso que otro si para el mismo volumen contiene mayor cantidad de materia (masa).
