PRESENT CONTINUOUS

AFIRMATIVA:  Sujeto + verbo “to be”  + verbo terminado en –ing + complem.

NEGATIVA:  Sujeto + verbo “to be” not + verbo terminado en –ing + complem.

What is she/ doing?

(¿Qué está haciendo él/ ella?)

+ She’s / He’s windsurfing.

(Ella / él está haciendo windsurf)

– She / He isn’t windsurfing.

(Ella / él no está haciendo windsurf)

What are you doing?

(¿Qué estás haciendo tu?)

+ I’m snorkeling.

(Estoy haciendo snorkel)

– I’m not snorkeling.

(Yo no estoy haciendo snorkel)

 

What are you doing? – plural –

(¿Qué estáis haciendo vosotros?)

+ We’re canoeing.

(Nosotros estamos montando en canoa)

– We aren’t canoeing.

(Nosotros no estamos montando en canoa)

 

What are they doing?

(¿Qué están haciendo ellos?)

+ They’re hiking.

(Ellos están haciendo senderismo)

– They aren’t hiking.

(Ellos no están haciendo senderismo)

She’s / He’s = She is / He is

You’re = You are

We’re = We are

They’re = They are

ADVERBS (ADVERBIOS de modo)

En inglés, los adjetivos se vuelven adverbios añadiéndole el sufijo –ly (mente en español). Para hacer una frase los pondremos al final, y los usamos para decir cómo o de que manera estamos haciendo una actividad o deporte (cuidadosamente, peligrosamente, etc…)

Slow – lento	Slowly – lentamente
Quick – rápido	Quickly – rapidamente

Quiet – silencio	Quietly – silenciosamente

He’s climbing quietly – El está escalando silenciosamente.

She’s talking loudly – Ella está hablando fuertemente (muy fuerte).

We’re swimming carefully – Nosotros estamos nadando cuidadosamente.
