Sin embargo fue <strong>Leonhard Euler<\/strong>, (1707-1783), qui\u00e9n le puso su inicial como nombre en 1728.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;font-size: 14pt\"><strong>Euler<\/strong> demostr\u00f3 que el <strong>n\u00famero e<\/strong> es irracional. El franc\u00e9s <strong>Charles Hermite<\/strong>, (1822-1901), demostr\u00f3 en 1973 que es un n\u00famero trascendente, es decir, que no se puede construir con regla y comp\u00e1s y que no se puede obtener como soluci\u00f3n de ninguna ecuaci\u00f3n con coeficientes racionales.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;font-size: 14pt\">Se puede definir el <strong>n\u00famero e<\/strong> como el l\u00edmite cuando n tiende a infinito de la sucesi\u00f3n:<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img loading=\"lazy\"
