Se dedic\u00f3 al estudio de la Teor\u00eda de N\u00fameros.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;font-size: 14pt\">Una <strong>ecuaci\u00f3n diof\u00e1ntica<\/strong> es una ecuaci\u00f3n lineal de la forma <strong>ax+by=c<\/strong>, con a, b y c n\u00fameros enteros y las soluciones {x<sub>0<\/sub>, y<sub>0<\/sub>} tambi\u00e9n n\u00fameros enteros. Una ecuaci\u00f3n diof\u00e1ntica tiene soluci\u00f3n entera si y solo si el m\u00e1ximo com\u00fan divisor de los coeficientes a y b divide al t\u00e9rmino independiente c.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;font-size: 14pt\"><strong>Ejemplo 1<\/strong>. La ecuaci\u00f3n 2x+3y=7 tiene soluci\u00f3n entera porque m.c.d.(2,3)=1 es divisor de 7.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;font-size: 14pt\">Algunas soluciones enteras son:&nbsp; {x=\u20134, y=5}, {x=\u20131, y=3}, {x=2, y=1}, {x=5, y=\u20131},&nbsp;&#8230;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;font-size: 14pt\"><strong>Ejemplo 2<\/strong>. La ecuaci\u00f3n 4x+6y=5 no tiene soluci\u00f3n entera porque m.c.d.(4,6)=2 no es divisor de 5.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;font-size: 14pt\">Ninguna pareja de n\u00fameros enteros, {x<sub>0<\/sub>, y<sub>0<\/sub>}, puede ser soluci\u00f3n de la ecuaci\u00f3n porque la expresi\u00f3n 4x<sub>0<\/sub>+6y<sub>0<\/sub> es siempre un n\u00famero par.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Diofanto fue un matem\u00e1tico griego del siglo III.
