Recordaros que el periodo de matriculación finaliza el 14 de septiembre por orden de presentación de matrícula hasta llenar cupo.

Es por ello que el alumnado de A2 de inglés que no se haya presentado a los exámenes en la convocatoria de septiembre y desee matricularse de nuevo debería a lo largo de esta semana proceder a ello.

Recordaros que el periodo de matriculación para aquel alumnado oficial de A2 que ha obtenido apto en la calificación global de junio es del 1 al 12 de julio.

Aquel alumnado de A2 que ha obtenido la calificación global de no apto o no se ha presentado a la convocatoria de junio deberá matricularse en septiembre en el plazo que la administración habilite para ello si desea seguir cursando estudios de inglés en la escuela. Normalmente del 1 al 14 o 16 de septiembre.

Si quisierais cursar estudios de francés si podéis matriculados ya en julio.

Del 1 al 20 de mayo se abre el plazo de preinscripción para iniciar estudios en la EOI Andújar. Es por ello que nos hemos puesto en contacto con una agencia de publicidad de la localidad para llevar a cabo una campaña informativa y de publicidad de nuestro centro. Entro otras cosas, se encargarán de publicitar la escuela a través de anuncios de manera continua en las redes sociales del centro. Además, el centro ha pensado en realizar una jornada de puertas abiertas telemática que básicamente consiste en hacer  una presentación a través de Genially donde entre otras cosas nos gustaría insertar vídeos de alumnado hablando de sus recomendaciones de estudiar en la EOI Andújar . 

Necesitaríamos que nos enviarais una breve grabación en video (20 o 30 segundos) al correo de la escuela eoiandujar@gmail.com a ser posible a lo largo de esta semana o como muy tarde hasta el día 27 de abril. De las grabaciones recibidas elegiremos a las mejores para hacer una grabación más profesional en los estudios de la agencia de publicidad.  ¿Nos echáis una mano?

Today in class we have corrected one pronunciation activity, 4c on page 27. The activity was about if «was» and «were» in the past continuous were stressed or unstressed. The answer was unstressed. This activity has led me to (me ha llevado a) explain the difference between the strong and weak pronunciation of grammatical words.

Remember there are 3 different pronunciations that we must respect when we find the -ed ending in the past of regular verbs (e.g. studied) in the past participle of regular verbs (e.g. have worked) and in some adjectives (e.g. relaxed).

Without a good pronunciation of English, it will be complicated for us to communicate properly and understand English. 

To start with, English has  vowel and consonant sounds which can be different from our sounds in Spanish, so we need to be aware of these differences.

The first step is to be aware of this fact. Why not have a look at the usual and less common spellings for the different sounds in English? In your book «English File» you have the sounds of English and their possible spellings at the end of the book. Why don´t you visit the following link to see how a native speaker pronounces the sounds of English?. If you do this regularly,  your pronunciation will improve little by little.

And remember, good pronunciation is not pronouncing like a native speaker, it is pronouncing in a way that native speakers can understand you.
