UNIT 1: RELATIONSHIPS

Hi guys, 

   It is time to start  unit 1, RELATIONSHIPS (unit 2 in the student´s book). This topic will involve reading, listening, writing and speaking about it. 

If you have a look at unit 2 in the textbook, you will realize this topic includes 3 main subtopics: 

1. people´s description (first impressions)
2. online dating 
3. relationships: types and problems   

Regarding vocabulary, it will be related to the aforementioned subtopics (i.e. adjectives to describe people, phrasal verbs, useful expressions, etc.)

Regarding grammar, we will revise the different uses of «would»

With respect to communicative functions, we will focus on giving  impressions 

 As for phonetics, we will make a quick revision of short and long vowel sounds.

Finally, with regard to cultural aspects, you will be involved in the celebration of Halloween.
