Expressions used in arguments

Here you have an activity to learn some useful expressions used in arguments you can put into practice when interacting. Remember some of them are quite rude and offensive. 

  1. Choose the appropriate expression for each definition.

  5. used as a strong way of saying «no». ________________
  6. Calm down! or Chill! ______________
  7. used for telling someone angrily that you will never allow something to happen. ________________
  8. used for telling someone that your opinion about something is different from theirs. ________________
  9. used when a series of situations has made you angry, so that you decide to leave or stop what you are doing. _______________
  10. used to emphasize negative statement . _______________
  11. used for insulting someone that you very much dislike or to express in an offensive way that you don´t like the things that someone has just said or done. _______________
  12. an insulting way of saying that you will not do what they want you to do.  _______________

    13. used for telling someone that you are not angry with someone after an argument or disagreement. _____________

    14. a way of writing “please” that shows how it sounds in informal conversation when saying that you think someone has said something stupid. _______________

    15. used for telling someone angrily that they are wrong about something. ________________

 

To take into account: Be careful with the use of underlined expressions as they involve slang and they can be quite offensive and rude. Slang is very informal and it is restricted to a particular context or group of people
