Words of the week: «Crawl into/out of bed» and «I’ve got far too much on!»
Hello,
From now onwards, I will publish an entry every Sunday with one or two advanced expresssions, terms or words.
CRAWL INTO/OUT OF BED
to get into or out of bed slowly because you are very tired
After a long day at work, I got home and crawled into bed straight away
I’VE GOT FAR TOO MUCH ON!
an expression you can listen to in TV series and the like. This expression comes from the expression «have something on one’s plate» whose meaning is «have a lot of things or problems to deal with».
I can´t possibly take a holiday at this moment. I’ve got far too much on (my plate)!
Thank you!
These expressions have grabbed my attention!
Hehehe! They are in unit 5. Nerea asked me about them and I decided to share them on the blog.
