Speaking sessions (3rd term)

Hello guys, 

Here you have some of the issues we have tackled in the speaking sessions on Thursdays and we will deal with in the future speaking sessions: 

Unit 5 Going out, Staying in + Unit 1 section 1 (Student´s book)

-First session 16th April: What place would you NOT recommend to live and why? (monologue)

-Second session 30th April: taking a package tour or planning your own holidays? (interaction)

-Third session 7th May:  different questions on reading habits and book/film preferences and opinions (monologue)

1. Were you to have to choose a book to read for you next summer holidays, what would it be and why?

2. What was the last book that you read? Do you have a positive view on it or a negative one? Give details 

3. Do you take delight in reading books? If so, what are the upsides of reading books? If not, why?

4. Are you more into reading a book than watching a film? Why (not)?

5. When it comes to choosing a film to watch, what makes you decide on a specific title?

6.  Do you consider that in today´s society young people tend to read books?

Unit 6 Conflict and Resolution  (Student´s book)

-Fourth session 14th May: in favour of a military intervention in countries going through a war conflict or against? (interaction)
