That is a good question… Well, I have been obsessed with the idea of an exchange since I was told it was going to be organised , I think three years ago. I have always tried to take advantage of all the chances I have had to be in contact with foreign people, especially those who speak English. I have met and talked to people in England and Canada. But that was not enough for me to be completely satisfied. Finally, the day has arrived: I can be involved in an exchange with people from England.

I have been chatting with the two guys who are coming to my house. They seem to be good people and I cannot wait to host them. By doing that, I have confirmed how excited I am for this experience.

I mainly want to do three things: meet new people, learn English and have a great time so I have a great experience to remember years later. It is also a great chance to leave my country for the first time, so what else can I ask for?

The high school is huge and really lovely, so I cannot wait to step next to it. People coming to Spain seem to be really nice people, and I am quite sure those who are not coming are great, too. Jordan and Jon, those who I am going to host, seem to be really nice guys and I am sure we will have a great time together.

I have been told we will be having long English classes, and that is great. Like that, we will learn a lot while we visit places and meet new people.

The activities that we are going to do seem to be really funny: going to Córdoba, a trek to the mountain… and I am sure those in Poole will be great, too.

In summary, I am counting the days for the exchange to start, and I am sure my friends are doing the same thing, so let’s wait just two more weeks!

Miguel Ángel Dávila Romero

1º Bachillerato C

Two years ago I had the opportunity to travel to Cork with two friends for a month but, my mother told me that I was not old enough to travel alone, so I got too sad. Fortunately, that year my English teacher told us that they were preparing an exchange with a high school in Great Britain. That was great.

To our surprise this is the first year we can take part in the exchange and the last year we can participate in, I mean, next year people of my age will not be able to participate. I feel so lucky to do the exchange not only because I will travel to a foreign country but also because teachers trust us.

On April, we will travel there. I hope I will learn more about the British culture because I have always loved the fact that they eat a lot for breakfast, and not too much at night. Also, I like that they only have three subjects each day and here we have six, so it will be better for us. I really want to attend to class there because I would like to learn more specific vocabulary about sciences. But the most important thing is to make new friends and have a great experience there.

Manuel Salido Romero

1º Bachillerato C

Erasmus Youth, Europe’s Future Próximo ya el intercambio con los alumnos del instituto de Secundaria del Reino Unido, el centro Lytchett Minster School, vamos a ir informando a nuestra comunidad educativa sobre las actividades...

[5991,701872,526
