Past Continuous<\/strong> – Form<\/strong>:  The past continuous is formed with the verb TO BE in past (was\/were) followed by a verb ending in -ING.  Example: She was washing the dishes<\/em>.

Past Continuous<\/strong> – Use<\/strong>: Past continuous tense is used to express actions which were happening at a specific time in the past.
Example: She was washing te dishes at 4 o’clock<\/em>.

Past Continuous<\/strong> – time expressions<\/strong>: yesterday, last night, a week ago, two hours ago, at 4 o’clock<\/em>…
Example: They were watching TV last night<\/em>.
