🇬🇧Celebrating St. Patrick’s Day

Last Sunday 17th March was St. Patrick’s Day and we celebrated at our school with joy and enthusiasm. But why do we celebrate?

St. Patrick’s Day honors the patron saint of Ireland, who brought Christianity to the country in the 5th century. It’s also a celebration of Irish culture, marked by parades, wearing green, and displaying shamrocks. Celebrating St. Patrick’s Day helps our students learn about Irish culture, fostering global awareness and inclusivity.

🇪🇸 Celebrando el Día de St. Patrick 

El pasado domingo 17 de marzo fue el Día de St. Patrick y lo celebramos en nuestro cole con alegría y entusiasmo. ¿Pero por qué lo celebramos?

El Día de San Patricio honra al patrón de Irlanda, quien llevó el cristianismo al país en el siglo V. También es una celebración de la cultura irlandesa, marcada por desfiles, vestir de verde y mostrar tréboles. Celebrar el Día de St. Patrick ayuda a nuestro alumnado a conocer la cultura irlandesa, fomentando la conciencia global y la inclusión.
