Students take part in the creation of the institute’s new website

During the second quarter of the school year 2020/21, the students of 2nd Bachillerato have worked on the development of this website, in order to renew the image on the Internet of IES Campos de Níjar. This project is part of the working group “Design of the Center’s website with WordPress”. It had the collaboration of the students of the subject T.I.C. (Information and Communication Technologies). (Information and Communication Technologies), under the coordination of the computer science teacher Javier Martos. One of the objectives was that the students acquired certain contents of the subject through active participation in a real project.

EXHIBITION “BIO-DEPENDENCE”

The Department of Biology and Geology of the IES Campos de Níjar has organized the “BIO-DEPENDENCE” activity throughout the month of February to celebrate Andalusia Day.

The students of 3rd and 4th ESO as well as 1st and 2nd of Baccalaureate have visited the exhibition, given by the group Ecologistas en Acción, in which they have reflected on the importance of biodiversity, valuing the goods and services it offers, such as food, decrease in global warming, medicinal use, water purification…. As well as the current problem of loss of biodiversity caused by climate change, the destruction of habitats, pollution, among others, which is causing the loss of species in an alarming way.

WHAT DO WE KNOW ABOUT ……… HOW DO THEY DO IT?

The Microchip, or also called integrated circuit (IC), or commonly known among engineers as “COCKROACH” is a very thin pill or chip that contains a huge number of interacting microelectronic devices, mainly diodes and transistors, as well as components passives such as resistors or capacitors.

Integrated circuits were made possible by experimental discoveries that showed that semiconductors can perform the functions of empty tubes. The integration of large numbers of tiny transistors into small chips was a huge advance over the manual assembly of vacuum tubes (valves) and circuits using discrete components. The mass production capacity of integrated circuits, reliability and the ease of adding complexity to them imposed the standardization of integrated circuits instead of designs using transistors that soon rendered vacuum tubes or valves obsolete.

Mathematics Olympics Local Phase 2021

Last Friday, January 29th was held the local phase of the Mathematics Olympics organized by the Spanish Royal Mathematical Society (RSME).

This olympiad consists of an exam of 4 problems from different areas of mathematics.Due to the pandemic could not be performed at the University of Almeria, so our representatives, Miguel A Simon and Juan Francisco Cuevas, had to perform this test, with a duration of four hours, in our center.

Access to Admission in public and private teaching centers arranged to study the Second Cycle of Early Childhood Education, Primary Education, Special Education and Compulsory Secondary Education and Baccalaureate

For newly admitted students not from our affiliated centers, the period for submitting admission applications is open from March 1 to March 31 through the following link:
