Mathematics Olympics Local Phase 2021

Last Friday, January 29th was held the local phase of the Mathematics Olympics organized by the Spanish Royal Mathematical Society (RSME).

This olympiad consists of an exam of 4 problems from different areas of mathematics.Due to the pandemic could not be performed at the University of Almeria, so our representatives, Miguel A Simon and Juan Francisco Cuevas, had to perform this test, with a duration of four hours, in our center.

The test was carried out with total normality and our representative Juan Francisco Cuevas has been classified in third place for the Andalusian phase, whose test will be held in late March and where the 24 Andalusian participants may be classified 12 for the national phase.
