Happy to welcome to our school our language assistant, Abraham Kakish, from California.

 

January 2024

First term has gone by and we have, as ever, been busy in our department with lots of different activities and events. All the studens worked within the CIL Project in English, French and Spanish. The students of 1ESO created posters with their Instagram profiles; the students of 2ESO interviewed their families to get a recipe; the students of 3ESO recorded an interview; and the students of 4ESO analysed the characters from a tale or book.

Non-linguistic areas worked on the topic “Water, my friend” with exhibitions and different activities related to the importance of water.

On December, the English teachers and the students of 1ESO and 2ESO went to the cinema in Écija to watch the Disney film Wish in its original English version. We take this opportunity to thank the students involved for their impeccable behaviour during their visit.

Bilingual Programme – Second Term Overview

Second term has gone by and it’s time to post an overview of the different activities and events we have experienced in it. All the students worked within the CIL Project in English, French and Spanish. The students of 1ESO were Youtubers for one day and they showed their daily routines; the students of 2ESO created lapbooks of recipes; the students of 3ESO became podcasters talking about books; and the students of 4ESO created a timeline from a tale or book.

Non-linguistic areas worked on the topic “Celebrating Women”, offering exhibitions on biographies of important women, collaborating with the Coeducation Programme to celebrate on 8th March.

In March, the English teachers and the students of 3ESO and 4ESO went to the theatre to enjoy the play Fortune‘s Fool in English.
