I’m Madelaine and I participated in the Erasmus+ Programm. I’m from Germany and I stayed with a family in Padules for 2 weeks. I went to school in your school in Canjayar with Alba, whose family I stayed with. I had an amazing time and am so grateful for having had this opportunity. I have never traveled or stayed somewhere without my parents before, so I was nervous but everything was just incredible. I had a lot of fun in school and seeing all those different subjects some that I also had in Germany and some like philosophy that I don’t have in Germany. Sometimes the content was a bit different even in the subjects that I have as well but I loved learning these new things and gaining knowledge. I even went on a school trip to the University of Almeria and was able to participate in their program. I met a lot of new people that I went to school with and even outside of school and all of them where really welcoming and nice. Apart from school I also got to explore the different towns in the region, which are all very beautiful and unique. With Alba and her family I went to the beach of Almeria, the city of Almeria and Granada as well. They showed me different sights and I loved every second of it. In Granada we even visited the Alhambra which was definitely a highlight. I was very lucky that I got to stay with this wonderful family that showed me Spanish life and a lot of typical food like miga or churros.
I will forever remember this amazing experience.
Soy Madelaine y he participado en el Programa Erasmus+. Soy de Alemania y me quedé con una familia en Padules durante 2 semanas. Fui a la escuela en Canjayar con Alba, cuya familia me alojó. Lo pasé muy bien y estoy muy agradecida por haber tenido esta oportunidad. Nunca había viajado ni me había quedado en un lugar sin mis padres, así que estaba nerviosa, pero todo fue increíble. Me divertí mucho en la escuela y viendo todas esas asignaturas diferentes, algunas que también tenía en Alemania y otras como filosofía que no tengo en Alemania. A veces el contenido era un poco diferente incluso en las asignaturas que tengo también, pero me encantaba aprender estas cosas nuevas y adquirir conocimientos. Incluso fui a un viaje escolar a la Universidad de Almería y pude participar en su programa. Conocí a mucha gente nueva con la que iba a la escuela e incluso fuera de ella y todos fueron muy acogedores y agradables. Aparte de la escuela también pude explorar los diferentes pueblos de la región, que son todos muy bonitos y únicos. Con Alba y su familia fui a la playa de Almería, a la ciudad de Almería y también a Granada. Me enseñaron diferentes lugares de interés y me encantó cada segundo. En Granada incluso visitamos la Alhambra, que fue sin duda un punto culminante. Tuve mucha suerte de poder quedarme con esta maravillosa familia que me enseñó la vida española y mucha comida típica como la miga o los churros.
Recordaré para siempre esta increíble experiencia.
