EL DÍA DE SAN PATRICIO

El día 17 de marzo se celebra el Día de San Patricio, patrón de Irlanda.
Con el objetivo de acercar a nuestros alumnos a la cultura de Irlanda, sus leyendas y costumbres, celebraremos este día en nuestro colegio.
Se realiza un mural que se colocará en el hall del colegio y en el que colaboran los alumnos, coloreando y recortando los dibujos que utilizaremos para la elaboración del mural.
En este mural contamos la historia y el origen de esta celebración, explicando quién es San Patrick y y porqué es el patrón de Irlanda.
Hablamos de sus símbolos, la bandera y otras muchas curiosidades.

ST. PATRICK’S DAY
St. Patrick’s Day, patron saint of Ireland, is celebrated on March 17.
With the idea of teaching our students about the culture of Ireland, its legendas and customs, we will celebrate this day in our school.
We will make a poster to be placed in the hall of the school and in which the students will collaborate, coloring and cutting out the drawings that we will use for the elaboration of the poster.
In it, we tell the history and origin of this celebration, explaining who St. Patrick is and why he is the patron saint of Ireland.
We talk about its symbols, the flag and many other curiosities.

Así de bonito quedó nuestro mural.

That’s how beautiful our poster finally looked.

También contamos la leyenda del «LEPRECHAUN», el duende verde que encanta a los alumnos de todas las edades y porqué hay que vestir de verde el Día de san Patrick.

We also told the legend of «LEPRECHAUN», the green leprechaun who fascinates students of all ages and why we have to wear green on St. Patrick’s Day.

 

Las profesoras de Inglés nos disfrazamos, vestimos de verde y llevamos gorros típicos, tréboles y decorados y el resto de profesores también.

The English teachers dressed up in green and wore typical hats, shamrocks and decorations and so did the rest of the teachers.

Los alumnos más mayores realizan trabajos sobre San Patrick en clase, como estos gorros, mientras aprenden vocabulario en Inglés. y con ellos decoran los pasillos.

The older students do St. Patrick’s work in class, like these hats, while learning English vocabulary and decorate the corridors with them.

                                                   

               

Nuestros alumnos de segundo realizan algunas fichas en la clase de inglés, con las que hacemos un mural en clase, y aprendemos más curiosidades.

Our second graders make some worksheets in English class, with which we make a poster, and learn more curiosities.

 

Los alumnos de infantil de 3 años realizan en clase sus propios gorritos verdes de Leprechaun, con la barba que luego llevarán ese día como disfraz, vestidos también de color verde.

 3 year old infant  students make their own green Leprechaun hats in class, complete with beard which they will then wear that day as a costume, also dressed in green.

 

Para terminar esta celebración, las profesoras de Inglés bajan a los alumnos que se sientan frente al mural, donde les explicamos en Inglés toda esta historia, que les gusta mucho y les sirve para aprender sobre la historia de Irlanda.
Se realiza durante toda la semana para que todas las clases puedan bajar a ver la exposición.

To end this celebration, the English teachers bring down the students who sit in front of the mural, where we explain to them in English all this history, which they like very much and serves them to learn about the history of Ireland.
This is done throughout the week so that all classes can come down to see the exhibition.

 

                                                      

Y así fue como celebramos este año el Día de San Patricio, mientras nuestros alumnos se divierten y aprenden Inglés.

And that’s how we celebrated St. Patrick’s Day this year, while our students had fun and learned English.
