General Organization

Our course, Higher Technical Certificate in Business Administration and Finance is taught in Spanish. The study Programme on offer is a short cycle degree divided into 2 year courses. This is a higher technical degree of 2.000 study hours and 120 credits. The first year is fully taken at the school. The apprenticeships period, with a total of 360 hours and 22 credits, is usually taken during the last term of their second year, from March to June, once students pass all the other training modules.

The academic credit system is not provided in credits per semester but in annual training modules, with a total number of hours or hours per week.

Following authorities’ regulations, the academic structure during the first school year implies 7 training modules. During their second school year they study 5 training modules from September to March, plus 3 hours of free organization adhered to another module and English.

Once these training modules are passed, students start their traineeship period in a company and prepare their Administration and Finance Project which is orally presented to a jury of teachers for evaluation.

When they finish and pass this period and the Final Project they get their certificate and the Europass certificate.

The teacher Head of Department is in charge of looking for the most appropriate company for every student, according to their personal and professional interests and skills.  We have a database with companies in our area and wide experience in locating students.

During this period students have both a training and a labour mentor. The duties of the training mentor are monitoring and mentoring their learning on a working-based training:

1) Visits to the enterprises by the Teaching-Mentor (5 visits: presentation + 3 visits + final visit).

2) Programme agreement between the Administration Department and the enterprise.

3) Weekly report with the specific activities and the time devoted to them. The report is supervised by both mentors.

4) Official report with the evaluation of some aspects (Professional competence, Organization competence, relationship competence, competence answer to eventuality).

The institution will then provide a certificate to let know the teaching and training activities undertaken during the mobility period, based on a mobility agreement. Any further recognition will be placed within the legal Spanish and Andalusian education framework, given by the education authorities in staff recognition and promotion.

Communication could be hold via email, videoconference or visits to the companies abroad.
