CONCIERTO DE PACO DAMAS PARA CELEBRAR EL DIA DE LA PAZ

Se ha celebrado en el SUM municipal un concierto del cantautor Paco Damas el pasado día 5 de febrero para conmemorar el día de la paz de este año. Esta propuesta se realizó con la colaboración de otras instituciones y entidades, entre las que hay que destacar el ayuntamiento de Iznájar. En el concierto que duró un poco más de una hora, participaron 10 alumnos y alumnas de 1º a 4º que recitaron poemas que hacían referencia de una manera u otra a  temas sobre la paz.  En la actividad se mezcla la música con la lectura de poemas a cargo de los alumnos. “El objetivo es trabajar en la cultura y transmitirles valores a los más pequeños”. Así, los textos de las canciones hablan sobre la paz y la tolerancia.
 El disco vine acompañado por una propuesta didáctica en la que hay 11 canciones y cada una de ellas viene acompañada con 10 actividades para trabajar la “cultura de la paz” remarca Paco Damas.
En el disco ‘Que a todas las balas se les haga de noche’, Paco Damas incorpora textos propios y ha musicado textos de Caballero Bonald, Gabriel Celaya, Blas de Otero, Ángela Figuera, Miguel Hernández y Dolors Alberola. El prologo del disco corre a cargo de Juan Carlos Mestre y el epílogo a cargo de Rogelio Blanco. Las colaboraciones musicales son de Mónica Molina y Amparo Sánchez, ‘Amparanoia’.

The day of peace

On Tuesday 5th February I.E.S. Mirador Del Genil celebrated the day of peace.

It started with normal classes in the morning for all students. At 10:30 all the students, who had been chosen the week before by their Literacy teachers to read a poem headed down to the Iznajar hall. There they met the poet, and had a practice session. One student from each class was chosen so there were 10 students in total. As part of the Comenius project 3 other students were chosen to read poems in English about olives.

All the rest of the school walked down to the hall with the teachers at 11:30 to get to the concert at 12.

Our head of studies, Toñi, Started the show and introduced the Comenius readers. The first poem was called “We will plant olives” and the second was called “In relation with love and peace” which was written by a Turquish poet.

After the Comenius poems had been read, the poet and all the other readers came onto the stage. Each student went up and read their poem and the poet sans in between.

After the concert all the students walked back up to the school in time for the last hour of lessons.

It was a great day and everyone enjoyed it because it was a fun and inspiring experience.
