Use
Compressing cork stoppers of different diameters.
Description
It has the shape of a lizard, consisting of two metal pieces joined by a hinge.
Functioning
The lower part of the device is attached to the platform of a table by means of four screws, which pass through the holes located in each of the legs of the lizard.
Next, we open the press by pulling the tail up, we place the cork stopper in an appropriately sized hole, we close it and we press by pushing the tail down.
The pressure applied to the cork causes it to compress and decrease its diameter. We use it then to cover a container and when, after a short time, the cork expands, we will obtain a quite hermetic closing.
