| El miércoles acompañados por nuestros compañeros eslovenos visitamos la cueva de Postonja, ellos nos explicaron que es la cueva más grande de Europa, y que debíamos abrigarnos bien, ya que la temperatura dentro es de tan sólo 10 grados. En el Vivarium conocimos al más importante habitante de esta cueva el proteo (una curiosa salamandra ciega endémica conocida popularmente como «cría de dragón» o «pez humano»). La cueva tiene unas espectaculares estalactitas y estalagmitas y tiene una parte del recorrido en tren. |
On Wednesday, accompanied by our Slovenian colleagues, we visited Postonja Cave. They explained that it’s the largest cave in Europe and that we should dress warmly, as the temperature inside is only 10 degrees Celsius. In the Vivarium, we learned about the cave’s most important inhabitant, the olm (a curious, blind, endemic salamander popularly known as the «dragon’s baby» or «human fish»). Por la tarde nos trasladamos a Piran, un precioso pueblo costero, visitamos el Aquarium y dimos un paseo por sus estrechas y soleadas callejuelas. Desde el puerto se divisaba la costa de Croacia.

In the afternoon we went to Piran, a beautiful village by the sea, we visit the Aquarium and we had a nice walk in the narrow and sunny streets. From the port we were able to see the Croatian coast.

THURSDAY
| La última jornada del intercambio estuvimos en un parque fantástico, «el Arboretum», con preciosos jardines, muchísimos árboles y flores, cascadas y un enorme parque infantil con un parque de dinosaurios, camas elásticas y tirolinas. Disfrutamos muchísimo del tiempo allí. Después de comer, fuimos de compras al mercado del centro de la ciudad. Finalmente, nos despedimos de nuestros nuevos amigos de Eslovenia. Todos prometieron continuar el contacto después de este intercambio |
On the last day of the exchange, we visited a fantastic park, the Arboretum, with beautiful gardens, countless trees and flowers, waterfalls, and a huge playground with a dinosaur park, trampolines, and zip lines. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there. After lunch, we went shopping at the market in the city center. Finally, we said goodbye to our new friends from Slovenia. All students promised to stay in touch after the exchange |
