Calcination of solids.
Description
Container in the shape of a cone with an edge, made of refractory clay.
Functioning
The solid sample is placed in the container and this is placed in an oven that allows it to reach very high temperatures. This process is called calcination and it is a basic laboratory operation, used in qualitative analysis (gravimetry).
