Our last day in Laterza we started the morning exercising in the gym, then we did activities to get to know better the town where we have spent these days of exchange. Laterza is known for its bread, its cave churches and the Majorica (a special type of ceramic). In the morning we had a talk in which we learned about the frescoes of one of these cave churches that reflected the legend of Santo Domingo de la Calzada, on the Camino de Santiago and also how the traditional bread so characteristic of this town is made, finally the morning the students did a workshop on decorating Majorica drawings on paper.![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
Por la tarde hicimos un paseo interactivo por el pueblo, recorrimos sus monumentos más importantes (las iglesias dedicada una a la Virgen y otra a San Lorenzo, el lavadero, la antigua puerta de la ciudad y el monumento al pan). ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
In the afternoon, we took an interactive walk through the town, visiting its most important monuments (the churches, one dedicated to the Virgin Mary and the other to Saint Lawrence, the wash house, the old city gate, and the bread monument).

Finalizamos con la ceremonia de entrega de certificados y una fiesta en el colegio con la participación de todas las familias de acogida que nos deleitaron con productos típicos de la zona. ![]() ![]() |
We concluded with a certificate ceremony and a party at the school, attended by all the host families, who treated us to typical local products.![]() |
